aru’s arrest follows that of prime accused Sheetal Kishanchand Tejwani, a builder and power-of-attorney (PoA) holder for the original ‘Mahar Watan’ landholders, who was arrested last week by the Pune City Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW).
Tejwani is accused of securing PoAs from the original landholders and subsequently executing the sale deed despite multiple failed attempts to legally gain ownership rights, allegedly misleading authorities and the original titleholders.
Both Tejwani and Taru, along with Amadea Enterprises partner Digvijay Singh Patil, have been named in two separate FIRs for charges including cheating, forgery, criminal conspiracy, and violation of the Maharashtra Stamp Act.
